Dr. Otter ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Dr. Otter mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.
- Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Profile Information
When you register or use the App, we collect:
- Name – To identify you within your bubble group
- Email address – For account creation and authentication
- Password – Processed securely by Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password in plain text
2.2 Bubble and Update Information
When you use the App, we collect and store:
- Bubble membership – The bubble group(s) you create or join, and your role (Patient, Inner Circle/Family, or Friend)
- Bubble updates – Titles, messages, and optional photos you post to your bubble
- Update metadata – Visibility settings (e.g., Family Only or Everyone), update type (e.g., medical, general, good news), and whether an update is recurring (including reminder frequency)
- Bubble code – The unique code for your bubble, used only to link members to the same group
2.3 Optional Photo Attachments
You may optionally attach a photo to a bubble update. If you do:
- The image is uploaded to Firebase Storage and linked to that update
- Only members of your bubble who are allowed to see the update (based on your visibility settings) can view it
